Of 'jeepas' and flags

Hey people ( I wonder if there are actually PEOPLE reading this blog)
So much to blog about, but so lil time.. Had a FAR OUT holidays, went out on many loner visits around KayEll, had may trips in the LRT (oh and LRTs are REAAALLLY efficient!)

Anyway yesterday Maxwell had Ambang Merdeka celebrations and yours truly was asked to perform a 'sajak'. A little background check, Derek Kok Qi Ren is a darn romantic poet=) He writes and recites,and has strong leanings to the Malay language as he feels Bahasa Malaysia is a superbly intricate,beautiful, artistic & flowery language.

Good for romantic poets like me=)

So the day went good. Me was dressed up in a really nice 'jeepa', courtesy of Karthik Kalyanaraman. But kinda uncomfortable in those 'rempit' pants tho.. But all in all, as USUAL I looked SMASHING =)

I hadn't performed since last year I guess. So a batch of new teachers didn't know of my ahem, "ASSETS". Of course, like many other times MANY people thought I'm Malay. Thus another round of teachers telling a batch of other teachers that my name is DEREK KOK QI REN and I'm a friggin Chinese.

-oh and I'm a famous property of SMK Maxwell, just say my name and everyone'll know who you talking about ( cheh perasan)
There's even a former Maxwell teacher at Taman Sea, Pn. Siti Nur Azlina.
So go on=) go ask her bout ME=)

Oh and the highlight of the day was the performance by Benjamin & Jacob. Jacob played the guitar, and Benjamin the Pikachu sang err, whats that song again??

Well nevermind,point is they BLEW you away.
Awesome performance I tell you. Oh, and Benjamin's "SAHAM" totally shot up! Teeheheh, If you're reading this Ben, SHE was entranced=)
The look on her face was priceless, you BLEW her away. And that's not even a ballad or lovesong,just a PATROTIC song.
